Live emotion
Peace and tranquility
For the 58th time, we invite you to join us at the Vers-l’Église temple. These moments of live music are a timeless privilege; we look forward to welcoming you.
Gilles Champoud, our artistic director, presents both chamber music classics and works by lesser-known composers, such as Joseph Kosma, Charlie Chaplin, and Frank Martin. These are splendid works to be enjoyed to your heart’s content: take the plunge—we’ll be there to guide you! And what about the musicians? They’re all ready to treat you to moments of pure beauty.
We are also already looking ahead to the Festival’s future. In 2028, we will celebrate the bicentennial of Franz Schubert’s death with the «Schubertiade de Musique & Neige.» And in 2029, this very festival will reach the milestone of its 60th anniversary, which we will celebrate with you, joyfully and enthusiastically. To make all these endeavors a success, the festival can count on our artistic director, who possesses immense talent and generosity, a committee of passionate individuals who give their time freely, and loyal volunteers. The icing on the cake—and an increasingly rare phenomenon these days—is that EVERYONE involved works on a volunteer basis. I tip my hat to them and say a big THANK YOU.
While this magnificent team doesn’t put a strain on the budget, we still need to find funding for the artists’ fees, their accommodations, publications, and communications. Our partners support us, as do other invaluable organizations, and we are deeply grateful to them. We are equally grateful to you, dear readers and music lovers, who faithfully renew your support through your membership dues and donations. These contributions are essential to the festival’s survival. I urge you to keep it up!
I look forward to seeing you again for some wonderful musical moments in an enchanting setting and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
A great season with us.
Philippe Treyvaud
