A 54th season full of discoveries!
The founders of the Festival Musique & Neige Les Diablerets set themselves an ambitious challenge back in 1970: to bring a high-quality, affordable chamber music festival to the mountains. Did you know that our festival is run entirely by volunteers, including the artistic director? This miracle has been going on for 54 seasons now. We're proud to be able to perpetuate the original philosophy and spirit of this event by offering you an exciting new season.
Gilles Champoud, artistic director, has concocted a sparkling program of remarkable performers from the classical music scene. To some of them who have already enchanted you in the Temple of Vers-l'Église will be added beautiful discoveries. Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert or Brahms are of course part of the program, but also Korngold, Kurtag or Lutoslawski. This high level programming has convinced RTS Espace 2 to record three of the eight concerts we are offering.
Our attractive pricing policy and the high quality of our concerts come at a cost. Box-office receipts and those from advertisers in our program by no means cover the fees of the artists involved. The Friends of the Festival, through their subscriptions and donations, enable us to balance our books. We would like to express our gratitude to them and to the entire team of volunteers.
