Biography
The “Ensemble de Cuivres Melodia" is a Brass Band founded in 1960 in the “La Côte” region of the Canton of Vaud, and is made up of passionate, high level amateur and professional musicians. It is the only Brass Band in the Canton of Vaud to compete in the Championship section (highest level), with Mélodia A participating each year in this category at the Swiss National Brass Band Finals.
In 2008, Melodia B was created. This formation, which participates in the second section at national level, provides additional training for young musicians in the region and also allows for a top quality stream of musicians to feed into Mélodia A.
Eager to make its music known and appreciated, without limiting itself to one particular type of music, Mélodia has a large and varied repertoire. The thirty musicians look forward to helping you discover the world of Brass Bands and spending a night full of surprises with you.
